Ms Chattanooga is the newest character from Kathy Dalwood, and exclusive to Roost Living. She is a contemporary re-interpretation of the historical portrait bust which, instead of being initially sculpted in stone or clay, is made by direct casting from real-life materials, fabrics and objects - hence the fascinating level of textured detail.

Making reference to the 18th century fad of decorating hats with very large-scale, incongruous objects - famously Marie Antoinette adorned a hat with a huge ship in full sail, the headgear.

Ms Chattanooga brandishes a steam train on her hat - hence the inspiration for her name.
