Reiko Kaneko

The British/Japanese designer, Reiko Kaneko, playfully and elegantly adds narrative and mischief to home products. Intent on provoking a smile, she adds a surreal touch to the familiar. For instance, charmed by curious British sayings such as Egg Soldiers, she created eggcups made entirely of model soldiers, poised to support the egg. Other products include surreal candlesticks made entirely of china appearing to drip wax and now available online at Roost Living

Tina Tsang

Inspired by the obscure and uncanny in life Tina tries to breathe life into
everyday objects to create an unconscious dialog between the object and user.
The aim of her design is to enthral the user and give a sense of other worldliness
to everyday life. Tina Tsang is a graduate of Central Saint Martins college of art
in film and illustration which has also been a major influence in designing her products.

The Blaue Blume collection was first conceived by wanting to solidify the texture of lace onto ceramics to make ceramics have a softer, more textural feel.

The process has been experimented on for about a year before finally being put into produced. There is an unexpected result when casting lace since some cast well and others don't. Also we only cast rare one off pieces of vintage lace.

Nicola Hart

Nicola Hart started making jewellery out of shells collected on a cornwall beach; they were like little precious natural jewels and stringing them on silk thread left their authentic nature intact. Nicola applied that simplicity of presentation to semi and precious stones, stringing them without the distractions of silver or gold so they seemingly float against the skin.

Anna Varendorff

Reworking elements of her urban surrounds into beautiful precious objects in silver, gold and stone, Australian jeweller Anna Varendorff plays irreverently with ideas of precious and non-precious. Architectural detailing, local plants and the ever-fun and collectable souvenir teaspoon are all raw ingredients for Anna's conceptual processes. Showing slight markings from the artist's hands, each piece remains unique. Contemporary, fresh design is core to Anna's practice, with a sculptural final outcome to her work.

Anna has recently exhibited at the V&A Museum as part of Collect .
